In light of our busy routines and organized chaos (many of us are pros at this by now), I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorites in the way of self-care and sips (beverages..lol). Here we go!
1. DW Home Candles.
So I've always been a fan of candles. My favorite will always be the Vanilla Bean by Henri Bendel, but I'm also enjoying fragrances from DW Home. You can find many of their candles at stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but some of their most popular (and seasonal) scents are only available via the website at dwhome.com.
The candles prices vary from around $10-20+(depending on the size it can be lower if they are on sale).
I'll insert a pic below of the ones that I'm currently burning (L to R: Indigo Musk, Guava Kiwi, Pumpkin Marshmallow, Blue Aloe (my fav so far). I also purchased the Vanilla Tonka (not pictured) and I love it for my bedroom. I'm more of a clean/fresh scent kinda girl, but I also like to switch it up. Overall, I've enjoyed all of the scents and I normally keep a candle burning throughout the day. The one comment I will make is that some of the scents are not as strong, so if you're putting them in a larger space it may require multiple candles or it may be just right for you. If I'm in the mood to really smell my candle, I normally burn something along the Teakwood family (Bath and Bodyworks classic!). Hopefully you'll try DW Home and tell me what you think..
2. Bath and Body Care.
I'm always up for trying new bath and body care products, especially if they're aromatherapy. Bath and Bodywork's Black Chamomile ( $13.50 , Bath & Bodyworks) line is amazing and on those long days Dr. Teal's Lavender Sleep Bath ($7, Walmart) soak does wonders for my aching muscles and relaxes me. My face however, is extremely sensitive to certain products and I don't venture too far from my staples very often. I've been using Belif's Aqua Bomb ($38, Sephora.com) since 2017 and have yet to find a moisturizer like it . Although the prices may be a little steep, it doesn't take a lot of product and a little goes a long way. I also like to try a new fragrance every once in a while and Tom Ford's Tobacco and Vanille ($65, Sephora.com) is one of my new favs. If you're not into warm, spicy fragrances you won't like it but the spiciness settles after a while leaving a nice warm scent.
3. Delightful Drinks....
So, I've always wondered if juices cleanses really worked. Would I lose weight or even feel better? I can only attest to my experience, but after Pressed Juicery's 3-day Beginner Cleanse ($34.50 (1-day cleanse), Pressed Juicery.com).
I had so much energy! My stomach was no longer bloated and I lost 3 lbs (probably water weight). I'm sure the lack of carbs and heavy foods also helped with the bloating, so I won't sell you a dream. The biggest point that I'll make is regarding the taste. I really do love them, and my favs are the Roots 2 and 3. I also like some of the citrus blends as well. Some of the juices are on the higher side with sugar, so that's definitely a consideration as well. Two of my other favorite drinks at the moment are Premier Protein's Peach and Pumpkin Spice ($7, 4-pack @Walmart) shakes. The Pumpkin flavor is fairly subtle (no Starbucks PSL...lol). I've also been enjoying Tazo's Chai Tea Latte Concentrate ($5, Commissary, Walmart or Target). They have a Pumpkin Spice Latte Concentrate as well, that always hits the spot. Just add ice in your cup, tea concentrate and then milk (I use Unsweetened Vanilla Almond)..if you prefer it hot just add the concentrate to your cup and follow with warmed milk and stir.
